In the good old days in the old country, my granny's was a go-to place during festivities. As a child, I remember the endless visitors who dropped by at any hour. I also remember the kegs of palm wine to entertain them. Thirty-something years later, while in exile in the Northern Americas, A taste of Kombucha brought a familiar taste—it took me back to the flair of the good old country. With just a sip, a memory came alive, reminding me of a place of gathering with stories shared between sips—a community where everyone was welcome.
